We had a fantastic time visiting beautiful Emory University — from which we have nine students staying with us in NYC this summer!
Emory is located in Atlanta’s historic Druid Hills suburb, which was designed by famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted (also known for co-designing Central Park in New York City and Prospect Park in Brooklyn).
Interestingly, Emory’s original campus in the small town of Oxford, about 40 miles from the main campus, is home to Oxford College.
We really enjoyed taking in the entire campus but we did see one thing we didn’t expect… The Mary Gray Munroe Theater, a 100-to-200-seat black-box studio, tucked away within the Dobbs University Center!
Thanks so much again to the staff who took time out of their busy days to tell us more about Emory.
Hope to be back again to visit very soon!
