Have you ever seen a black squirrel? Well, the students at Kent State  certainly have. The unusual little animals are so popular on campus that students have decided to welcome their furry neighbors as their unofficial mascot. In fact, every September, these uncommon creatures are honored at the annual Black Squirrel Festival, which is organized by the Kent Student Center Programming.

We currently have 22 Kent State University students coming to live with EHS in NYC over the course of the upcoming year so we will have to ask them more about this tradition in person!

Of course, we learned many other things while on campus too!

We stopped into the internationally-acclaimed Fashion School to say hello, and meet additional staff all over campus too.

Everyone was incredibly friendly. We hope to make a trip back again very soon!
