East Tennessee State University (ETSU) celebrated their 100th anniversary in the Fall of 2010 and the campus was still showing its’ pride in the accomplishment during our visit. Although our visit to campus was brief, we did learn that ETSU has very unique attributes, including:
The Quillen College of Medicine, consistently ranked as one of the top schools nationwide for rural medicine and primary care education
Unique programs include a nationally acclaimed and accredited program in Bluegrass, Old Time, and Country Music, the nation’s lone master’s degree in Storytelling, and the Appalachian Studies programs, focused on the surrounding Appalachian region.
We learned a lot and had a great time. Go Buccaneers!
