University of Tennessee (UT)

EHS received a warm greeting from the entire University of Tennessee (UT) Career Services staff during our visit on campus.  It was a great way to start the day and be welcomed to Knoxville.  During our visit (driving and walking down the many roads named after famous alumni, i.e. Pat Summitt and Todd Helton to name a couple) we learned of exciting programs like:

RecycleMania: RecycleMania is a friendly eight-week competition between universities across the country to promote waste reduction activities to their campus communities.

UT Farmers Market: UT is currently hosting a weekly Farmers Market that will continue through October.

The Mug Project and reusable to-go boxes are working to eliminate single-use cups and containers from campus dining facilities, and all food waste is composted and reused for campus landscaping.

Canoe and Hiking Club: A member-driven sports club, composed of diverse, open-minded individuals who share a common interest: the outdoors!

International House: The International House is a popular gathering place for visiting international students and delegations and University of Tennessee students who have previously or are currently interested in studying abroad through the Programs Abroad Office. A full kitchen, meeting rooms, and a library provide support for frequent cultural events ranging from salsa dance lessons and nation-themed culture nights to Peace Corps interest meetings.

As you can tell, it sure is great to be a student at the University of Tennessee. We look forward to welcoming some of these forward-thinking students & interns to live with us this summer in NYC.

Go Vols!
